Do you like helping other people or do you have a passion for nature? Do you get excited when meeting people from different backgrounds? Do you want to cross your borders? And would you like to make a (small) change in the world?

Join the European Solidarity Corps or participate in one of our Youth Exchanges from Erasmus+.

Europe creates the opportunity. Will you miss this chance?!

If you participate…

  • you will share this experience with (young) people from all over Europe and beyond;
  • you can practise your language skills;
  • you work together in teams;
  • you get creative and innovative;
  • you see concrete results;
  • you challenge your limits and open your mind;
  • you discover sides from yourself, you have never seen before;
  • you will learn new skills;
  • you make friends for life;
  • and, ultimately, you will bring all these experiences back home.

European Solidarity Corps

What is the European Solidarity Corps?

The European Solidarity Corps creates opportunities for young people to volunteer or work in projects in their own country or abroad that benefit communities and people around Europe.

Projects could involve helping to prevent natural disasters or rebuild afterwards, assisting in centers for asylum seekers, working with children or people with a disability, or addressing different social issues in communities.

Who is it for?

Young people between 18 and 30 years old can apply (though you can already sign up for the European Youth Portal at the age of 17).

When can it take place, and what is the duration?

Projects can last from 2 to 12 months.

What support can I get?

All essential costs related to your volunteering project are covered. You will get accommodation, board and any local transport that you may need. You also receive a small amount of “pocket money”. Moreover, you will be covered by an insurance during your time abroad.

“After my 10-month volunteering experience in Spain, I see the world differently. I worked with people with a disability and they thought me that we need to celebrate all the small successes in life.”
Yvette Drissen – 2017
